The Memory of Luminarie

A letter dated July 23, 1549, written by Luca Contile, a historian and diplomat accompanying Princess Isabella of Capua, confirms the use of wooden arches in Scorrano to adorn the town in honor of the distinguished guest.

The cult of Santa Domenica has made this small municipality the symbol centre of this art that characterises our region.

The Museo delle Luminarie di Puglia, born thanks to the collaboration between the municipality of Scorrano and the Region of Puglia, has brought together many Apulian companies that, sought after internationally and featured in the presentations of the most famous style and fashion brands, are one of the many pages that illustrate the beauty of our land.
